JILI’s public copy says 3 or more scatters must appear from the leftmost reel going right to start the feature. During free games, 2 or more scatters can add further spins. Studio marketing often says there is no upper cap on retriggers; the help file is the cap that matters.
Wilds do not replace scatters. On a winning way that includes one or more wilds, JILI’s rules add a random extra multiplier between 2x and 5x. Some official-style examples treat two wild multipliers as added (2x and 5x → 7x). Other write-ups treat them as multiplied. Do not guess: read the sentence in the OKS999 help file. Do not import Ascent’s wild rules.
Extra Bet versus Buy Bonus
This is the bit people mix up with Fortune Gems 2.
- Extra Bet (pay 50% more per spin to change the reel strips) is not how original Charge Buffalo is built.
- Buy Bonus / Buy Feature, on builds that include it, is a one-time purchase of the free-game round. Public JILI guides quote 36.6× the selected bet (some pages round to 36×), with a quantity field on some clients. The cost comes out of balance when you confirm Buy & Play.
- Regulated markets often disable buy features. If OKS999 has no Buy button, you cannot buy the round, and you should not assume a hidden 36× price.
If you see “Extra Bet” on a buffalo tile, you are probably in a different JILI title. Check the name again.

Open Charge Buffalo — not Ascent, not 3 Charge Buffalo. Read free-game scatter rules and look at the bet bar for a Buy control. Set a loss cap before you touch Buy, if it exists; 36× is a full feature price, not a small side bet.
